Nestled in the rolling hills of Brandywine, Maryland, just a short drive from Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Southern Maryland, the land that is now home to BCF Retreat Center has a rich and meaningful history.
Originally established in 2007 as the first commercial winery in Prince George’s County, the property flourished as a vineyard and gathering place for the community. For more than a decade, it produced award-winning grapes and welcomed visitors to enjoy the beauty of its landscapes, before closing its doors to the public in 2023.
In 2025, a new chapter began. Bethel Campus Fellowship (BCF), a nondenominational Christian organization dedicated to raising disciples of Christ on college campuses and beyond, became the steward of this extraordinary 23-acre property. Today, the vineyard, woodlands, and open fields are being reimagined not as a place for winemaking, but as a sacred space for renewal, fellowship, and spiritual growth. We call it, the new wine.
The retreat center encompasses a welcoming event pavilion, serene meadows, and a beautifully appointed home, all framed by breathtaking views of natural hills and vineyards. What was once known for producing harvests of grapes now serves a higher calling: to cultivate moments of rest, restoration, and transformation for all who gather here.
At BCF Retreat Center, we honor the land’s past while embracing its future as a place set apart—where individuals, families, and groups can draw closer to God, to one another, and to the beauty of creation.
